We chose Google Checkout because they are waiving all payment processing fees for donations to non-profit organizations until January 1, 2009. Typically, processing fees range from 2% to 3% of each transaction. Beginning in 2009, Google Checkout will charge us a lower processing fee than most other online payment gateways. This is why we choose to use Google Checkout instead of PayPal.
